Reviewed January 12, 2024 (edited January 24, 2024)Quick rush of caramel and orange peels before some robust oak and dried fruit notes appear. There is a fig/prune note as well as cereal, hay, char, and baking spices mingle beautifully. Theres also a note that reminds me of the outside rind of a smoked ham. The peat comes rapidly and despite 37 years in a barrel is still rich, earth and intense. their is decent salinity as well right near the finish which is long and peaty. the dried fruit comes back to hang out with the peat near the finish. the liquid itself is also very unique as it makes a very noticable foam when shaken. This is probably the best peated single malt ive ever had, so effortlessly elegant but robustly powerful.1200.0 USD per Bottle
