Cardinal Spirits opened in February of 2015 and is located in Indiana. Their gin is fashioned after the first gins created by monks in Salerno around the 1100’s.
They’re all-organic botanicals are fairly standard (juniper, coriander, navel orange zest, lemon zest, angelica root, cinnamon), but the base of the gin is made from 100% white grapes. The gin is bottled at 42% ABV.

Distilled GinThis style of gin takes a neutral spirit and then adds juniper berries and other natural flavorings before it is re-distilled. After distillation, additional flavors (artificial or natural) and sweeteners may be added.

Tasting Notes
"This is so darn pretty and sweet, you just want to take it to a box social. An aroma of sugared bush berries and bubblegum with flowers in the background start you off. The bubblegum follows onto the palate with additional sweetness but overripe citrus fruit prevents any cloying sensation. The finish is soft with mild dry juniper. Overall, a simple gin but pleasing from start to finish. This would be ideal for a Pink Lady."
