Tasting Notes
"There is a distinctive earthy mushroom aroma that blends with more classic notes of toasted oak and caramel popcorn. That earthiness extends to the palate with a strong flavor of roasted shitake mushrooms that serves as a backdrop to caramel, popcorn, roasted peanuts, nutmeg, clove, and fruity sweet-tart candy. Somehow the flavors all work together in a summery, light-bodied way that's refreshing compared to heavier American whiskeys, and there is even a bit of heat in the lingering finish despite the low-ish ABV. "
