Reviewed January 24, 2025 (edited February 3, 2025)Wasn’t a fan of this one at the distillery and I’m still not. Kind of herbal but in a bad way. Ethanol a little but with nothing to mask it. Just not my kind of pour. -

Reviewed July 27, 2024 (edited July 28, 2024)A harsh nose but with charred oak and burnt corn after notes. Ititial ethenol hit but a sweeter finish. First taste is sweet, higher notes of table sugar, apricot, cherry, corn syrup, with a hint of heat. Moouthfeel us watery, not oily. The 100 proof shines through with some heat. Goes down smooth with a hot flash aftwrords of very aromatic, almost herbal flavors. Like anise. While not a very full or heavy tasting whiskey, it is still complex. Ice is probably recommended. For being aged 4 years it is not as smooth or leathert as one would hope. Tastes a little young and green. But by no means a bad pour.Schnucks Cottleville
