One of several entries into Charbay’s catalog of whiskey distilled from beer, their Lot S 211A was made from Bear Republic's Big Bear Stout. The stout is made with 5 different malts, along with Centennial and Cascade hops. It is double-distilled in a copper Alambic Charentais Pot Still and aged in for 29 months in used French Oak barrels.

"The scent of hops is faint, but present. More noticeable creamy chocolate malt, with secondary aromas of a full baking spice bouquet. The hops come alive on the palate and jump across the tongue. They continue to dance along with the cinnamon candy flavors, barrel spices, and malted milk. The finish is long and invites many more sips."
