Reviewed September 20, 2024(Batch 1 / Bottle 511 of 1812) is a bold, Brandy by the Lesgourgues family in Armagnac, France crafted with a blend of more than 20 eaux-de-vie, that were single-distilled from single-estate Baco, Colombard & Folle Blanche aged for a minimum of 21 in Gascony oak barrels, bottled at 45.3% ABV in September of 2021. It has an aromatic birth with notes of dried fruits, nuts, wood & spices; while a rich & bold life adds notes of plum, ripe peach, orange zest, butterscotch, caramel, maple, cayenne & cinnamon; that leads to a long & woody death with notes of oak & vanilla.
