Butter, fruit on the nose. Sweet fruits, mostly cherry on the palate. Finish is not sharp, but getting some NyQuil notes that turn me off a little of an otherwise impressive whiskey for 3.5 years.
Well rounded for such a young bourbon. All the classic bourbon notes are there, cherry, vanilla, oak. Not tannic. Drinks spicy like a rye, but not herbal. More of a cinnamon, but not the taste, just the warmth on the tongue. Chattanooga came out the gate swinging, and this is easily the 3rd best liquor from my home.. Sugarland’s Roaming Man Rye takes my 1st, and this is close behind JD SBBP.. Depending on the day those two could swap, and I easily buy more of this than the JD…
