Corsair Triple Smoke American Single Malt
American Single Malt — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed November 5, 2021Bright citrus and smoke. Can tell there’s more there than just peat smoke but doesn’t get too overpowering. Not salty or oceany like a Scotch, but doesn’t lean hard into the traditional bourbon flavors. Definitely ill stock this bottle. An interesting sipper for sure. -
Jack Daniel's Tennessee Tasters' Selection 14E19 Twin Blend
Blended American Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed September 1, 2021Nose to me isn’t anything to write home about, but I am currently sipping this from a rocks glass and not a glen. However the palate is where this really shines. Dark chocolate, coffee, hints of vanilla, nuttiness (but not peanuts, more pecans). Slightly brightens on finish with some fruit, leading into the tannic oak and bitter chocolate and coffee notes.. This is definitely a buy, will pick up another from the store when I go back. -
Blue Note Premium Small Batch Bourbon 9 Year
Bourbon — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed July 22, 2021 (edited November 12, 2022)Still definitely Dickel on the second pour of the bottle, but decidedly less so. This taste “amber”. I know that’s color but thats how it tastes, golden. Honey, syrup, light fruit. Barely cooked pancakes. Less flintstones than straight Dickel after it opened up a bit. Ain’t bad for the price, but took a hunt to find it on shelves around me.. Wouldn’t call it a must stock but its definitely a try. Especially for all the Dickel haters. Could make you change your mind. A great way to ease into that Tennessee flavor. Or just buy anything from Chattanooga or Roaming Man from Sugarlands for a better Tennessee Whiskey. -
Blue Note Premium Small Batch Bourbon 9 Year
Bourbon — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed July 18, 2021 (edited November 12, 2022)It’s Dickel. Not much else to say about it really. People will either love it or hate it. But its definitely Dickel. -
George Dickel No. 12
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed July 2, 2021 (edited July 23, 2021)Vanilla, barrel char. Banana runts, peanut shells, flintstones vitamins. Short finish. You either like dickel or hate it. I like it. -
High West Campfire (Discontinued)
Blended American Whiskey — (bottled in Utah), Multiple Countries
Reviewed June 18, 2021All the best of bourbon mixed with all the best of Islay. I’m sure no one thought the meeting of Kentucky and Scotland could come out tasting so well but I’m glad it did. White fruit, brown sugar, vanilla, cherry, mixed with smoke, salt water, ocean air, and seaweed.
