Chicken Cock Kentucky Straight Bourbon

The nose is very nice, sweet honeysuckle and light oak. This is very nice on the palate as well, with smooth sweet cherry notes and caramel. There's just a little oak and not much in the way of spice. The finish is short and sweet. This one is easy drinking and mild. If it has a fault it may be a bit too mild. Really like this one. In my area it retails for around $60, which is overpriced in my opinion. Fortunately I picked this one up for much less, otherwise I might opt for something else. I will definitely enjoy this bottle though

Heavy scent and taste of oak with the slightest undertone of caramel

I would like it a lot better if it was about $15 cheaper. I just don’t think a 90 proof bourbon should cost this much. It’s by no means bad. The bottle is beautiful. I would buy it at $45 if I see it again. If you want an easy drinking bourbon, stick with angels envy at around $48. That being said, this is about as easy sipping as I’ve ever had. Buttery, vanilla flavor.

Get lots of vanilla, a little oak or wood grain of some sort. Great aroma. I think I’ll like this more with more tastings.
