Cedar Ridge is the first licensed distillery in Iowa since Prohibition. Today they make a great variety of distillates. This is made in the Genever-style, using a malt-wine base. During distillation they only allow the vapors to come in contact with the botanicals which include juniper, coriander, orris root, orange zest, and cucumber. This is bottled at 45% ABV.

Tasting Notes

"There is an aroma of rubber that creates a barrier of entry for the rest of the gin. Diving nose first you’ll surface with the aroma of dry orange peel but little else. The taste of melting rubber is first to appear on the palate as well. Afterwards there is some licorice, pine resin, and juniper. The finish has an artificial berry taste and is short lived. "
