Bulldog Gin was created in 2007 by Anshuman Vohra, a former investment banker who wanted to create gin he felt contained flavors that were lacking in other gins. Working with a master distiller, Vhora named his gin in honor of the "British bulldog spirit" ---unyielding courage even in the face of overwhelming danger, a term often associated with British prime minister and gin drinker Winston Churchill. This gin uses 12 botanicals - juniper, dragon eye, white poppy, lotus leaves, lemon, almond, cassia, lavender, orris, licorice, angelica and coriander - and is bottled at 40% ABV.
