The peat absolutely works in this. The smoke elevates it. After a droplet, potpourri and dry leaves bust out. Mild honey. Some heat and cut tobacco in the finish, with just a touch of that smoked meat. Continues to be a favorite as the wonderful Frankenstein's monster that it is.
Visually very clear. Aroma is that of peat smoke with a hint of sweetness. The first taste definitely has the rubbery peat taste. Adding water sweetens the taste.
I don’t think I’m giving up smoky scotch like Talisker for this.
