The light color does not prepare you for the smell or taste. 1st whiff smelled so peaty that it reminded me of chewing a bandaid. The taste was overwhelming at first but as I drank it (with a few drops of water) it grew and grew on me. I was in love by the end of the glass. The taste reminds me of a good barbecue brisket. Oily and salty with lots of smoke. Great value for a wonderful experience.54.0 USD per Bottle

Connemara 12 Year Peated Single Malt
Single Malt — Ireland
Reviewed February 11, 2020 (edited April 1, 2020)Visually very clear. Aroma is that of peat smoke with a hint of sweetness. The first taste definitely has the rubbery peat taste. Adding water sweetens the taste. I don’t think I’m giving up smoky scotch like Talisker for this.
