American BrandyProduced in the US, this is usually referring to brandy distilled from grape-based wine. If the producer uses other fruit, it must be stated on the label. If aged under two years in oak, it must state the word "immature" on the label. Beyond that, labels such as VS, VSOP, and XO mean little as the brands themselves dictate what that means to them.

Tasting Notes
"A sweet and fruity nose offers grapes, jam, berries and light floral notes. The palate is a bit soft and turns drier, with oak, char, and vanilla. Richer on the moderately lengthy finish with more grape influence, cocoa, and lighter notes of smoke and roast. Add ice to find more dry oak, cedar and pine, maple syrup, and a touch of a medicinal profile - think flavored cough syrup."
