American BrandyProduced in the US, this is usually referring to brandy distilled from grape-based wine. If the producer uses other fruit, it must be stated on the label. If aged under two years in oak, it must state the word "immature" on the label. Beyond that, labels such as VS, VSOP, and XO mean little as the brands themselves dictate what that means to them.

Tasting Notes
"The nose showcases mushy apples, brown sugar, oak, and spice with walnuts and prunes coming in the background from those sherry casks. The palate offers spicy oak, with a light rancio and nuttiness, and more of a whiskey vibe, with the apple brandy itself somewhat being lost. Finish starts hot, with notes of fresh apple cider, caramel and smoke. Let it open up after pouring a glass, and it'll be richer, sweeter, and fuller."
