Nose: vanilla sweetness, citrus. Herbal notes. Later on herbal and sweet notes are more dominant.
Palate: starts lightly. After few seconds spicyness kicks in with some sweet and nutty notes in the background.
Aftertaste: nutty and pungent.
Very nice dram, but too spicy and rough for my taste.
Did not really change with water.
Nose - peach, honey, sugared almonds, some light citrus
Taste - dry spice up front, metallic, a bit if the fruit and honey comes through, but it’s mostly a metallic spice
Finish - really dry and a bit bitter at the end, the spice builds a bit
Pretty traditional Young single malt profile. Gentle. Almost too gentle.
Smooth, drinkable pour with a touch of peat. Rose water shows up in the middle and finish, and there are hints of caramel, honey, and black tea.
I feel like I want more from this, but I have no complaints about this whatsoever.
