Courvoisier VS Cognac

I've been sipping half pints of hennessy after work the last couple weeks (I work 2 nights a week at a liquor store) and I gotta say I haven't had the two side by side for a comparison yet but getting a pint of vs courvoisier for a couple dollars more than a half pint of Hennessy, it seems pretty comparable. Pretty decent smoothness for a sipper. I'm normally a scotch guy but it's hard finding half pints and pints of single malt.

Thin body with oak, light honey sweetness and a hint of spice, finishing dry. Kind of like a cheap bourbon/rye mix. $59 in Ontario.
