Single Malt
Cradle Mountain // Tasmania, Australia
Australia's oldest whisky at the time of writing, the Cradle Mountain Single Malt is triple-distilled, an unusual style for Australian whisky. It is made with water from Cradle Mountains national park.
This is a very rare bottling with the remaining 360 bottles of the last cask in sales as of October 2015. This represents a last piece of old Australian whisky.

Tasting Notes
"The aroma has an opening of rubbery sulfur before turning to leather laced with smoked honey. A mixture of toasted both old and new wood resin follows, with acetone and citric notes. On the palate, the whisky changes immensely to smoky toasted wood with sweet peat dancing in the background. Smooth vanilla breaks on to the tongue, with the acetone resin turning to caramel. The finish is amazingly short with cloying resin and slight vanilla coming in ever smaller waves that fall away to yesterday's tastes. "
