Virgin Bourbon 7 Year 101

Heaven Hill // Kentucky, USA

community rating

3 out of 5 stars
( 69 )

This hard to find 7 year old charcoal filtered bourbon was once more widely distributed in the US, but is now mostly exported. You can still find it in some southern states, but that’s becoming less the norm. Basically Evan Williams 1783, just aged a bit longer, Virgin is bottled at a higher proof and is a great deal for an under $20 price tag when you can find it.

Tasting Notes

"On the nose: Fake maple syrup, rye and a faint hint of cigarette smoke. Palate has a back-of-mouth heat, Tennessee whiskey sweetness, vanilla and rye. The finish is quick, sweet, and with more rye on the back end. "
