Craigellachie 17 Year

Had this open for about 8 months. Down to about 1/2 bottle. The nose is complex, sweet breakfest cereal. The palate is excellent. Sweet apple, creamy cereral, with a great spicy finish.

Funky goodness! Combo of bourbon & sherry casks - neither overpowers. Worm tubs add great layers to the flavor profile. Nice mouthfeel & ABV (though I am curious what it would taste like at a higher ABV). I’d like to do a blind tasting with Tobermory 17 and bourbon-matured Hazelburn with similar age.

Quite simply , a most pleasurable taste experience. The nose,to me is red candy apple, quite fragrant and inviting. The pallet, exquisite., with a gentle wood start, then a crescendo into a little nuttyness, bold ly brown sugary oak, then quickly simmers ta gentle green apple back of the tongue. What a wonderful taste journey.
