The flagship product of the Whipper Snapper distillery, Australia's first dedicated bourbon-style distillery, Crazy Uncles Moonshine is a real tribute to the American Original. A blend of Corn (80%), wheat (10%) and Barley (10%) all locally produced through Western Australia, this moonshine is made in a column-still with an attached pot. Limited availability in Australia and the UK.
WhiteDistilled from a cereal mash bill comprised of any grain(s). Generally unaged except in the US, where it must age at least briefly in oak for an unspecified amount of time. Sometimes sold as "moonshine" although that is a misnomer.
"An initial medicinal tang, with eucalyptus mixing with menthol. A citrus rind is speckled with old paint chips, puckering at first to the nose but moving in clearer over time to crisp fresh bread and breakfast cereal. On the tongue, it is immensely sweet, with cornbread coated in sweaty honey, the alcohol drying the mouth and dropping mixed minerals and tart sulfur around the mouth. The finish is short and tart with only a small hint of salt and spices remaining."
