Crown Royal // Manitoba, Canada
This whisky, from perhaps Canada's best known producer, is a blend of 50 Canadian whiskies that are finished in Cognac Limousin oak casks.
The number "16" is not an age statement, rather the number assigned to the region where the oak for the final cask aging is produced.

Tasting Notes
"It's like drinking fruit cake. Super sweet, with brown sugar, gingerbread, dates, raisins, prunes and dried figs, maybe some apricot for the slightest bit of acid balance. The Cognac influence definitely comes through with a brandied texture. If you have a sweet palate, this is for you. If you don't, it probably isn't."
