Crown Royal Deluxe

Smooth is smooth, for lack of a better term. I've outgrown this and moved on to Forty Creek Copper Pot, but I will never diss my regular house whisky for so many years.

Grapes and floral nose, with a little light oak spice. Grapes and oatmeal in the mouth, sweet but oddly flat. Medium body and coating legs, with light golden color. Finish is dry oak, leather, and tannins, with a little spicy grassy rye. It's an easy blended whisky to sip, with a great heritage and marketing. But it's average, or just above.

Straight: Pretty Bitter, not the most pleasant. On Rocks: Less unpleasant, still bitter In Coke: Much better, fine mixer whiskey.

Nose: Sweet Palate: Maple syrup, cocoa, sweet candy and brown sugar Finish: Long and sweet with brown sugar
