Cutty Sark Storm
Blended
Cutty Sark // Scotland
Storm was released in 2012 in some markets (not the U.S., sadly..
.yet). The blend was created by Master Blender, Kirsteen Campbell, who used grain whiskies from North British and malts from Highland Park and Macallan among others, very much like the other Cutty Sark line-up. The difference here is the higher percentage of malt and the use of older stock.

Tasting Notes
"The nose shows a bit of smoke and brine along with toasted grain. The palate follows suit adding some barrel spice, caramel, and hay with just a dab of chocolate. As you continue to drink, the richer, malty notes linger with you while the smoke and brine still play a part. The finish is not super dry or astringent, but soft and supple. Let's hope this comes stateside soon."
