Smooth, easy drinking, with several fruity notes. I have a suspicion that there is likely caramel colour added. As much as I love The Dalmore's history, this 12 year is not the best value at $100 per bottle in my opinion.
NOSE: Poached pears, mandarin oranges, apples, apple pie, toffee
PALATE: Light smoke, peat, black pepper
FINISH: Lingering peat, sea salt, dried cherries, oak, marzipan
Rating: 82/100
Grade: B-
Not-too-bad - no major flaws, worth tasting.
