Del Maguey VIDA Mezcal

Vanilla and agave. Funky, earthy, sweeter agave. Mild smoke. Drying finish.

My base line mezcal with a good smoke base. I am just now leaning about mezcal.

Nice smokey, slightly vegetal aroma. Smoke continues in the body with a fruity, peppery hint. Seems good for the price.

Lot’s of smoke and agave on the nose and palate with hints of banana, honey and vanilla. Pleasant mouthfeel, medium intensity and long lingering finish. The agave and smoke just sit in the back of your throat. I don’t have a lot of experience with Mezcal. This is a fantastic first step. Worth a purchase and is pretty damn good in a Oaxaca Old-Fashioned
