Dewar's 12 Year

Nose: caramel and vanilla, with a touch of a dried fruit and ripe fruit combo, not very deep. Palate: nice sweetness of caramel, fruit, and grain or cereal notes. Has a slightly hot touch on the finish, peppery, ashy, oak. The used bourbon barrel definitely comes through. Not the worst and comparable to JW Black or others within the same price range.

Inoffensive, albeit watery. Nose is caramel and vanilla. Palate is honey. Finish is short, touch of banana. Trying the 12, 15, and 18 back to back.

Sweetness in the form of dried fruit with a little syrup texture and not too much burn.

Pale mahogany. Strong vanilla, caramel. Sweet, baking spice (bourbon barrel), mild malt. Medium body, smooth. New blend is imitation bourbon, and lacks scotch character: strong oak spice and smooth; easy-drinking mixer. Air China first-class lounge at PEK.

Decent daily drinker for the price. Flavour is perfect for that summer dram. Lacks at the end, no real lasting quality on the back end.
