Dewar's 15 Year The Monarch

Nose: bit alcohol foward, sweet, honey Palate: bit young'ish, sweet, orchard fruits Finish: short, sweet, bit nutty, alcohol

Continuing my review of the 12, 15, and 18 back to back. I think the lackluster 80-proof will be holding them all back, via a watery mouthfeel. Nose is vanilla but a very welcomed clove/all spice note not present in the 12 year. Mouthfeel is caramel (again), touch of apple. Finish has notes of orange rind and faint hint of oak.

Lovely balance, it's not perfect at anything but it does it all well

Very sweet, especially for a Scottish whisky.
