Dewar's Ilegal Smooth

Got it for just a little over $20, I really enjoy this! The nose is surprisingly sweet and sharp like tequila but it tastes like a Smokey whiskey with hints of agave. Was not sure what to expect, but the great recommendations I heard did not lead me astray!

Dewar's are doing a lot experimentation. I think they nailed it with this 8YO finish. Fun nose, nice hit of smoke on the finish.

This is odd. A unique bite, scotch with an odd bite of mezcal....

A decent blend. Very light and sweet, with just a tiny bit of smoke on the back end

Can taste a small difference with the Mezcal. Touch of sweet. Not too much smoke. Great every day (if you do) for price.

Love this Scotch, especially for the price. It's some 8 year old Dewar's with a nice smoke at the end. None of that salty/briney taste you get with peated scotch

For $27 you can definitely do worse in the scotch realm. Especially as a fun experiment. However, dont go into this thinking that you’ll get anything but bitterness from the mezcal finish.

Regular Dewar’s with a pop of sweeter mezcal towards the end. Mezcal-y, finish. Slightly medicinal, but not in the good way like a Penicillin.
