Nose is of canned pears with a light, thin, brittle agave note and a touch of jammy dark fruits. Taste is honey, apples, and just a hint of vegetal smoke. The agave increases in the finish. Nothing very weird, ultimately, but still very pleasant to drink. A fuller body would really bump up this scotch.
Clear, old gold, w/uniform alcohol legs. Nose- fruity cereal grain, a ghost of smoke, and some earthiness (peat). There is also some "twangy" thing, which must be the mezcal. Taste- similar, with more pronounced smoke. Medium bodied, with a crisp finish, as one would say, in the beer world. Fantastic. RJT
Classic Dewar’s with accented sweetness and smoke with notes of lemon and herbs and a finish more akin to mezcal. Definitely an improvement over white label
