Dos Manos Blanco Tequila
Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
There is not much available on the production or history of this brand. It is distilled at the Fabrica de Tequilas Finos in Jalisco where several tequilas are produced like Kirkland brand (Costco), Ed Hardy Tequila, and Kah Tequilas among many many others, though this in of itself is not unusual. Many tequilas are often produced at one distillery or NOM, but production methods can vary. This is a 100% agave tequila bottled at 80 proof.
Tequila BlancoDistilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is typically unaged , clear, and bottled straight after distillation. Sometimes rested in stainless steel up to 60 days and can also be aged in wood for no more than 30 days.
"The aroma shows a vegetal characteristic often found in Lowland tequilas with fresh Napa cabbage, lemon, orange and celery displayed prominently. Moderately sweet with a blast of pepper on the mid-palate accompanied by black pepper, roasted cabbage and roasted apple. These flavors are short-lived and the finish is slightly astringent from the alcohol; all-in-all, however, a pleasant addition to its price category."
