Edgefield Hogshead Whiskey

A little smooth vanilla with a little spicy oak finish

Oaky and heavy in caramel

The high rating is mostly due to this being my first well crafted whiskey that was above middle shelf, back in the day. I used to consider Hogshead a splurge, and I'd buy a bottle every year around birthday time. My tastes have evolved since then, but I still enjoy this whiskey.
