Uncorking- Nose- lots of alcohol, toasted coconut, spices, vanilla, oak. Taste - hardwood sawdust, walnut shells, peanuts, caramel, vanilla, spice, clove, leather and dark cherries. Finishes- leather and oak, peanuts and menthol. Really powerful, really tasty and a surprising value if you can find it. Loving it so decided to pour a little more and put this head to head against one of my favorite BP - Stagg Jr. Stagg is one of the only bottles I always keep a spare.around Stagg hits sweeter and hotter. It's dark caramels and rich, vanilla and dessert..... then when I tried this again the EC BP was way nuttier and more complex. More wood and dust but I think it will vary by my mood but I never expected this to stand toe to toe with a top fav.

Smells like a rickhouse - sweet, musty oak. Like everything in this line it is a flavor bomb. An explosion of caramel, rye spice, and rye tannins that leave your mouth watering. A finish that lasts long after the sip. These are the best values in bourbon in my opinion. Buy it.

One of my consistently favorite bourbons, pretty much regardless of the season: ECBP series. This is the B520 at 127 proof, $70 retail. Neat or the smallest piece of crushed ice I find in the drawer. Nose: Heat heat and tingles initially, unless you are backing down from something with even higher proof. Once it settles in, it goes to a nice cinnamon raisin chocolate swirl Bundt cake undeniably and consistently. Palate: nice lengthy finish with the heat coming on the front end. After the main coat, it packs some complexity with Dark chocolate walnuts, some pepper for the spice. Added the smallest crushed ice cube I could find to the 2+oz pour and came back to it to get more of the baked cinnamon spices along with the initial darker chocolate. It certainly bested the ECBP A120 which I had to proof down, and unfairly had more complexity than the new EC Toasted Barrel. Rating: 4.5/5 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗

Pungent aroma has coconut, baked apple, clove, nutmeg, allspice, vanilla, green cedar, peanut, and smoke. Give it 5 minutes to rest and you can enjoy all the smells without getting your nose singed; a major plus. Palate features more apple, vanilla, butterscotch, toffee, peanut shell, oak, and the slightest hint of banana. Flavors are deliciously rich. The long finish is where this really shines, as it bring a host of new flavors from the palate and evolves constantly; cinnamon, allspice, creme brûlée, charcoal, candied ginger, and oak again, this time more of an “old dusty” oak. Mouthfeel is thick and chewy and compliments the flavor profile perfectly. Really really good and while not my all time favorite batch, this is a worthy contender. At around $70 and usually readily available, ECBP is one of the most consistent values in bourbon and this is no exception. Looking forward to the next batch.

Really enjoyed this. Perfect mix of sweet with just a touch of spice and a long finish. Caramel and oak stand out to me. One of my favorite bourbons. I'm always excited to see new ECBPs, but will be sad when C replaces this one on the shelves.

Color is a deep ruddy copper. Nose has notes of cinnamon vanilla creme brulee, confectioners sugar, toasted marshmallows, iced tea, and pipe tobacco. Rich, dense mouthfeel. Palate has burnt cinnamon stick, caramelized brown sugar, black tea, toasted almonds, oak, hints of dark cherries. Finish is long, hot and dry, lots of oak, burnt cinnamon, ground nutmeg, light hints of roasted peanuts.

Carmel, apricot, walnut, corn and butterscotch. Alcohol is pronounced served near. Palate includes smoke, dark chocolate, toffee, vanilla, pepper and oak. A small cube of ice really opened it up to me. A really nice pour.
