Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon

Not comparing side by side I don't know the difference between this and it's dearly departed 12 Year older brother. It comes across as maybe slightly young, maybe a bit thinner. It’s got great flavour but it’s a little flat, with dark caramel, rich chewy oak and herbal/floral rye-type spice. Similar to but not quite as robust/charred as Evan Williams Single Barrel. $50 in Ontario.

Great bourbon for the price. With a bit of water the nose and flavor comes out more. Very rich body with the classic smooth vanilla flavor of bourbon.
