Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel Bourbon

BurbonDan picked up a bottle and was stoked with the evite to try. I was looking forward and had high expectations. I was disappointed to say the least. Lacked flavor to me. Tasted very green and young. This is the same Mashbill as blantons but could not taste more different. I do not know why this has become an allocation item. Thought it was interesting that this is the same bottle as Walthens single barrel!

LOVE this bourbon! Add a few drops of water to this one and then wait. After about 5 or 10 minutes, I can't keep my nose out of the glass. The nose is solid fresh baked apple pie and vanilla and fresh bread. Simply divine! The taste and palate translate just as nice. If you see this one at the local shop, don't walk out of the store without it, as this is an allocated offering. Don't overpay. I have found 3 bottles for $39-$45. I wouldn't pay more than $50 ( even though I think it Is worth it)
