In general, this category of gin, while it does contain juniper, places less of an emphasis on this botanical. Other botanicals not classically used in London Dry gins are often utilized and often highlight botanicals grown in the region the gin is produced. Most produced as either London Dry or Distilled Gins.

"The stated ingredients are crystal clear. The smoke is present, but doesn't completely overwhelm. It is just another ingredient. It also heightens the juniper. The caraway note enhances the savoriness of the gin. They recommend use in a Bloody Mary, but that would obscure the notes in the gin, particularly the smoke. Try a Negroni instead."
