Enjoying a freshly popped bottle neat.
Nose - wow there is a lot going on here and is quite good. Vanilla, caramel, cherries, oranges, spices, oak and an off and on strong tobacco smell. Very advanced nose
Taste - quite a bit going on here. First sip is met with vanilla and caramel. There is a modest fruit of cherries and oranges in the middle. The end is full of oak and corn. The corn is a bit overpowering and quite sweet. Not much spice to the palate.
Overall - hard to complain for a whopping 17$. I enjoy the nose more than the tasting. Just too much corn for my liking and not enough balance. Nonetheless it’s a good inexpensive bourbon
Nose: sweet cream corn, vanilla custard, gingerbread, cinnamon, clove, spearmint. barrel char.
Palate: oak, vanilla, caramel. Followed by barrel Char, spice, and peanut brittle. Very Peanut forward.
Finish: nice burn med long.
This is a hidden gem of quality for its price. Possibly better than lots of $30+ bottles. This has earned its place as a daily sipper for me.

Nose is earthy and nutty with a hint of something bitter sweet like a burnt caramel. Much of the same in the pallet with some dark chocolate notes. The finish is pretty similar to dark chocolate bitter sweet with just a bit of alcohol heat. This is a simple but incredibly enjoyable whiskey. Doesn't feel like a 50abv to me but your mileage may vary. For the price this the best value for the money that I've ever had in a bourbon. Rating this against that value, if it was $30 (double the price) I would drop it to a 3.5 but it's hard to find something this good at $25 much less below. Water just brightens it and brings out the sweeter corn notes.

Enjoyed neat
On the nose- corn, sweet, caramel, nutty
Taste- thin, baking spices, not as sweet as it smelled but with a warm finish
Not bad at all for a budget bourbon.
People recommend this and Wild Turkey 101 for a budget bourbon. I would take WT101 over this any day.
Not sure how the expert rated this lower than the black label? This is surprisingly solid bourbon for the price. A good bourbon for a higher price. Full sweet taste and not too much rye ( if you dont like the spice). Evan better for mixing.
