Excellia is the handiwork of master tequila producer Carlos Camarena and EWG Spirits & Wine founder Jean-Sébastien Robicquet, who set out to create tequilas that marry Mexican and French traditions of spirit production with unique aging techniques. Excellia Tequila Añejo is aged 18 months in a combination of former cognac and grand cru sauternes barrels, using agave that is 8 - 10 years old when harvested.

Tasting Notes

"This buttery and toasty añejo has a faint smokiness the reposado version seems lacking. Dried fruits, golden apple, vanilla, and dark caramel combined with cinnamon and nutmeg further enhance the liquid pie quality. This is a good one to recommend for those who prefer a sweeter, richer style of añejo, but it seems to cover up most of the true agave essence."
