Fettercairn 2009/11Y Valinch&Mallet

IB (Ainneamh) "Boba-Fettercairn" Single Cask 2009-2018 46% Green pear nose. Initially sharpness. Loads of buttercream top off the pears. Good industrial funk similar to AnCnoc. Warming. Drying finish of Baguette crust. Delightful.

My last day of Whisky calendar! It was a good year. I was looking for this one but seems I'll be disappointed... The nose is not attractive at all. Dust, old vessel, alcoholic, mineral, rocks. With some drops of water it's a bit better, some vanilla, yellow flowers, honey. The palate is different, sweet, jam, caramel...wow chocolate cream, nuts, butternut. Ok the palate is very good, I wish the nose was in the same way Nose: 3 Palate: 5 So a 4 for this one
