Fireside Single Barrel Straight Bourbon
Bourbon
Fireside // Colorado, USA
This single barrel release is made in Denver, Colorado at Mile High Spirits. Like the brand's flagship straight bourbon, this is made with a mash bill of Colorado corn, rye, and barley along with Rocky Mountain water.
It is aged for a minimum of 2 years in new, charred white oak barrels in Denver. As this is a single barrel release, expect the profile and ABV to vary with each barrel.

Tasting Notes
"This aptly-named whiskey is indeed a firecracker of a dram! It's almost aggressively spicy (close to a cinnamon red hot candy kinda way, though not as sweet). Ripe red apples, and hints of caramel and lemon peel cool the embers a bit, with a weighty cereal mid palate. Ice is its friend, and because of its spiciness, this is a good base (also with consideration of its modest the price point) for stirred drinks like Manhattans or Boulevardiers. (Reviewed barrel #36.11)"
