Founded in 2009, Smooth Ambler has released sourced whiskeys, and then sourced whiskeys blended with their own distillate under their label. Big Level marks the first whiskey Smooth Ambler has released that is 100% distilled in-house. This wheated bourbon release used a mash bill of 71% corn, 21% wheat, and 8% malted barley and was distilled using continuous column and pot distillation.
Aged for over five years in char #4 53-gallon new, charred American oak barrels. Bottled at 100 proof it is non-chillfiltered. Available beginning June 2018.

Tasting Notes
"Apricot fruit leather, clove, and cinnamon greet the nostrils. The fruitiness on the palate is more akin to cherry cola — black cherry, allspice, clove, with hints of vanilla. This is one of the brawnier styles of bourbon — rich, musky, and spicy with a bit of char, and it definitely keeps going. "
