The 2020 Limited Edition Small Batch Bourbon is made from four different batches selected by master distiller Brent Elliott. The recipe for 2020 highlights four of the ten different recipes for the brand. The breakdown for each is as follows: 12 year-old OBSV; 12 year-old OESV; 16 year-old OESK; and 19 year-old OBSK. In short, two different yeasts were the focus--that with delicate fruit (yeast V) and slight spice (yeast K).
The bourbons were blended and bottled without chill-filtration at barrel strength of 111.4 proof. There will be 14,040 bottles available in the US as of September 2020. .

Tasting Notes
"You'll find quite a wide array of aromas from the sweet (vanilla, milk chocolate, sweet corn,) to the fruity (lemon peel, apple & cherry fruits) to the savory (brown butter, gentle barrel spices, toast). As you taste, rye spice comes through as well as a moderate oaky flavor, but the bourbon isn't too chewy or tannic. You can still find those fruit and sweet notes too. A bit of leather shows up as well. The finish is lengthy with a tangy, bittersweet profile as well as a touch of green vegetal notes. A great bourbon that shows dimension. Would serve neat or with a splash of cool water."
