Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon

Butter on the finish

Decent bourbon, better than regular Four Roses and it is a pleasant supper. It isn’t my favorite but I keep finding myself finishing a bottle every few months.

As good as many bottles twice the price. It’s one of only a few bottles I actually bought more than once.

Very good value for a single barrel and at an easy to drink proof point, no wonder it is a favorite. On the noise I get vanilla, and brown sugar with a strong green apple note. The palate is sweet upfront with a mid plate spice like apple pie spice and pepper. The finish is light with some oak, floral perfume, and,light barrel char, with a touch of heat. Very good pour for the money, coats the mouth with a slightly oily mouth feel.
