Four Roses Private Selection Single Barrel Barrel Strength Bourbon

The extra age and few proof points above the standard Four Roses single barrel really steps this up. This is incredible - an all time favorite. Excellent pick by Gallenstein. OBSV — 9 years, 8 months — warehouse SN — barrel 87-1N — 53.4%

Harsh right off the bat but has good notes of vanilla and oak and hints of wood very earthy. Not very smooth but it has a good all-around balance flavor with a nice body

Virginia ABC barrel pick OESK. I've been on the hunt for this one for a while, finally got lucky. On the nose caramel, cherries, and ethanol. On the palate neat it's fiery but velvety smooth. It starts off super sweet with caramel and brown sugar then erupts into a building burn that leaves a very long lasting finish. On the rocks is brown sugar, vanilla, cocoa with a more tamed finish. I prefer it on the rocks but it's great either way. Glad I got the opportunity to buy this, it's a great pour!
