"Specially Selected By Brent Elliot, Master Distiller" OESV 11yr 8mo 61.5% PS 58-5R My notes: brown sugar sweetness, caramel, fruit (cherry and apricot at least,) barrel and rye spice and sweetness, toasty oak, and hint of vanilla. 4.75/5.0⭐ Notes from the bottle: "This 11 year 8 month old Bourbon was bottled exclusively for the Four Roses Gift Shops. This Bourbon is rich and fruity from the aroma to the finish. Ripe red fruit and nutmeg balance with oak tones and vanilla fade into a long, soft finish. Enjoy!" Bottled in September 2021. Crown Liquors "Lena" OESQ 9yr 9mo 60.4% LE 87-4K - less sweet than some, oaky and light floral, spice and herbal notes. Hot🌶️. 4.0/5.0⭐ "Friends of the Rural Inn" OBSK 8yr 1mo 61.6% KE 63-6G - moderately sweet with honey notes, rye and spice, herbal notes, oaky with char. 4.25/5.0⭐ Elite Beverages "Fruitopia" OBSF 10yr 3mo 58.1% RS 77-2C - moderately sweet, dark fruit including cherry, subtle mint, rye spice, oaky, rich. 4.5/5.0⭐ "... exclusively chosen for our Visitor Centers by Master Distiller, Brent Elliott" Bottled 2020 OBSV 50% TS 29-30 - brown sugar, apricot, rye and baking spice, oaky with a little vanilla. Oak and proof on the nose. Getting more alcohol than anything else. Classic single barrel four roses, major hit of caramel fire. Barrel spice, black pepper, tons of abv burn. I like high proof barrel strength whiskies but it's a bit much. Well done, but off balance. Blackwell Spirits selection

Tasting- this is Kenwood Liquors OESK, aged 10 yrs and 2 mos. Tasted neat in a Glen Cairn glass. ABV is 58.3%. This is a tier 3 offering. Nose- red licorice dominates. There is also a fresh strawberry vibe that is inviting. Palate- there is a hit of ethanol followed by chewy strawberry saltwater taffy. Caramel kicks in, but is quickly diminished and replaced by a bit of nutmeg and spice. Finish- the finish throws back to the fresh picked strawberries on the nose. I wish there were more sugar tastes like caramel, molasses, or browned sugar. This would have enhanced the taste, but the strawberry note kind of made this singular and even gave way to white, unripened or "green" strawberry. That was my dissappointment. Overall- First, I have never found a bad 4rs SiB. Some are better than others, but. They are always quality. This is no exception, but it is not exceptional. This one is mediocre to me. Kind of one dimensional. I craved a hit of sweetness on the backend but got more fresh strawberry, perhaps a bit of "green" strawberry that bummed me out. I have had better SiB 4 rs.
