Strong alcohol taste/lots of heat, but not horribly overwhelming. Light oak with floral notes. Coats tongue nicely and has some bite that seems to get stronger the longer it stays in your mouth. Some dulled fruit notes.
Sweet caramelized/toasted oak, corn, gentle floral rye spice. It’s the perfect middle ground between the simple velvety standard Four Roses and the complex Single Barrel. For the $7 price difference I’d take Single Barrel any day. In comparison (and in general) this comes across as just a bit thin. $48 in Ontario.
