Four Roses Yellow Label Bourbon

"This is an excellent bourbon for the price point. A little corn a little rye a little vanilla a little caramel a little wood and a little dent in your wallet. I say that like I have a wallet. I don’t. I die free. wallet-free that is. I don’t know why i don’t have a wallet. It’s for this reason I lost my credit and debit cards recently. I think my dog ate it. For real. He suffers from pica, a condition where he constantly seeks out and eats little bits of metal. But the wallet wasn’t metal. So I guess I don’t know why he ate it. But he did.! And so…even without a wallet to slightly dent, If you have a small amount of cash you can drink and enjoy this as I have and am doing.

The nose is a bit thin but full of charred oak, corn, vanilla and rye spice. The palate does just about go to the corners of the mouth with a burst of creamy and rye filled charred oak, but quickly dissipates. The finish is somewhat short with that burst of flavor subsiding too soon.

Sweet corn, honey, oak, burnt pear, very spicey.
