Frïs Vodka // Denmark
Fris Vodka is a Pernod Ricard product distilled in Denmark. Pronounced “freeze” the name is meant to evoke their unique and patented method of Freeze Filtered Process used. The details of this procedure are not readily defined but the brand does boast a pure wheat base that is distilled four times. Pricing and packaging appeal to a value minded customer.
Unflavored VodkaDistilled from any agricultural product, most commonly grains or potatoes. Typically distilled to 95% ABV. Water is added to bring the spirit down to as low as 37.5% ABV in the EU and 40% ABV in the US. It is usually filtered, often with charcoal, prior to bottling. It is almost always clear and unaged.
"This crystal-clear vodka has a slightly medicinal nose with hints of warm wheat bread and tapioca. The mouthfeel is admirable rich and although not incredibly flavorful is pleasantly neutral. The finish is whisper soft and shows no perceivable burn. What this drink lacks in flavor it makes up for in smoothness. The off medicinal notes all but disappear when combined with juices making this a solid mixing vodka."
