Better than I expected. Smooth - perhaps too smooth. But a great expression of Tennessee whiskey in the sense that the white charcoal is super prominent, giving this a taste very much foreign to a traditional bourbon or really any other American whiskey. I wish it was a bit more complex but for a mass-produced whiskey from a major distiller this is very solid.
nose: banana, wood spice (pencil shavings), tobacco, dried fruits, nutmeg, coffee, citrus, oats
palate: milk chocolate, old wood, apple skins, peach, especially with the addition of water and time spent in the glass
finish: rye spices, long
I found this to be quite watery and... "subtle", for lack of a better term. You're better off buying the original, or one of their single barrel offerings
