George Dickel 8 Year Bourbon

I had high hopes for this knowing the availability, price, and my previous experience with Dickel products. Unfortunately I just don’t like this bottle. It has a flavor that is unlike any other Dickel product I’ve had and not in a good way. If you’re looking for a good daily affordable drinker then look elsewhere if you have similar taste as mine (see reviews) because this is just not enjoyable. I’m 3/4 through this bottle and just can’t get behind it. 😔 9/10/22

A little to warm and spicy on the finish for me personally. But it did have good sweet and fruit hints on the nose and palate. Therefore I think this might be good to make an old fashioned with.

Very unremarkable. Light fruit pallet, with almost no heat.

The wife poured this blind for me, and I was pleasantly surprised! “Dickel. . . really?!?” Good flavor and sweetness that doesn’t taste young(8 years). It’s very light but that’s to be expected. Great summer pour

Blind whiskey night tasting. Basic but good flavor. Mostly caramel, brown sugar. Was surprised to have not noticed any Flintstones vitamins when it was revealed. Good value bourbon.

Nose: cherry, oak, vanilla Taste: cherry cough medicine? oak and leather Finish: seriously, I’m getting so much cough syrup what is happening
